Nuova premiazione per i Rush!

Tra l'altro, per la prima volta, viene anche chiesto il parere del pubblico per determinare i nomi da inserire poi nella vera rosa dei candidati.

QUINDI VOTATE RUSH!

Ora ho appena votato ed i nostri hanno raccolto quasi al 28% delle votazioni, e sono i più votati (dietro di loro Deep Purple quasi al 16% e Heart al 12,5 % circa....)

Alla fine secondo me verranno comunque nominati i Deep Purple (omaggiando così anche il compianto Lord), dato che sono più conosciuti e "commerciali".

Scusa ma forse non ho capito bene:
tutti i nomi sono stati introdotti, ed il voto serve solo per stilare una classifica di gradimento tra gli introdotti da parte del pubblico - o devono fare una selezione tra questa rosa per determinare i nomi da inserire nella RNRHoF? nella news del sito pare di capire che la nomina ci sia stata....

Alex intervistato al telefono parla, tra le altre cose, della nomination alla Hall of Fame, facendo così la prima dichiarazione di un membro dei Rush in merito a cio:

... "I'm really happy for the Rush fans who feel that it is really important, and I hope we're inducted for their sake," guitarist Alex Lifeson said by phone from a tour stop in Philadelphia. The band plays Saturday in Newark. "Personally it never really mattered to me, but at the same time it's nice to be nominated." Lifeson said induction into the Rock Hall in Cleveland would not compare to the band's having received one of the prestigious Governor General's Performing Arts Awards for Lifetime Artistic Achievement in March, the highest honor bestowed on artists by the Canadian government. "The acknowledgement we got from the Canadian government, and by extension Canadians, is very dear to us," Lifeson said. "The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is more a popularity contest." ...
